The Spider Covenant - Brian Klein
| 1 min read

Full disclosure: I know Brian from working with him on video shoots over a number of years, but I’m keeping this review completely honest.
Having read all of Brian’s books, the setup is starting to feel familiar—you can pretty much spot the twists coming. But even if it’s a bit formulaic, The Spider Covenant is a genuine page-turner. The short, snappy chapters make it almost impossible not to read "just one more."
The plot moves fast: Himmler’s post-war network (Die Spinne) re-emerges in 2025 using AI deepfakes, all kicked off by a single USB drive. Mixing real WWII history with modern tech threats works really well without feeling heavy-handed, and the "hidden daughter" angle keeps the momentum going strong.
It’s not trying to be high literature or deep character study—it’s just a great, fun holiday read that keeps you hooked from start to finish.
Thoroughly enjoyed it, but I’m definitely ready to see Brian tackle a completely fresh subject for his next one!
